Chart viewed from the right side. Odd rows: right to left (RS). Even rows: left to right (WS); knit and purl symbols are inverted in instructions.
□ knit on RS / purl on WS · • purl on RS / knit on WS · ○ yarn over · / k2tog on RS / p2tog on WS · \ ssk on RS / ssp on WS · × no stitch
Rows below describe chart cells only. Shaping balance, cast-on, repeats, borders, and finishing are not validated.
Edits are saved when you choose Save. Templates and resizing can be undone. Image import fits the full image and reduces it to the six palette colors. Gauge dimensions are estimates; swatch before making a garment. Charts over 26 colors use extended letter labels.
Choose your canvas, start from a motif, or bring in an image you love.
Paint each stitch, fill an area, and preview how the motif looks at your gauge.
Download your chart, print a pattern sheet, and keep a backup for your next making day.

Follow row numbers, right-side appearance, and the chart key without confusing flat knitting with working in the round.
Use your stitch and row gauge to preview a motif at realistic proportions instead of assuming each knitted stitch is square.
A little clarity, so you can get back to creating.
Draw colorwork motifs, plan knit and purl textures, or place basic stitch symbols. Start from a blank chart or a motif, import an image, then export a PNG, SVG, or JSON backup. Printing opens your browser’s print dialog, where supported browsers can save a PDF.
Charts show the right side of the fabric. For conventional flat knitting, odd right-side rows read right to left and even wrong-side rows read left to right. In the round, every row reads right to left. Always follow the chart key.
Stitch width and row height usually differ. Enter your stitches and rows per four inches or ten centimeters and enable stitch proportions to see a preview based on your swatch.
Choose Save to store a chart in this browser. Choose JSON backup to keep a portable copy you can reopen later. Clearing browser data removes local saves.
